Honda Acty
VS
Suzuki Carry

The Honda Acty and Suzuki Carry are the two most popular Japanese mini trucks in the US market — and for good reason. Both are well-engineered, reliable 4WD workhorses with decades of proven commercial use in Japan. If you're deciding between the two, the differences come down to engine character, cab comfort, and how you plan to use the truck.

Choose the Honda Acty When…

Choose the Honda Acty if you want the widest selection of bed configurations (flatbed, dump, enclosed, crawler) and the most bulletproof reputation for low-maintenance reliability. The E07A engine has a strong track record in demanding commercial use. The Acty also tends to hold its value slightly better in the US market.

Choose the Suzuki Carry When…

Choose the Suzuki Carry if strong 4WD off-road performance is your priority. The Carry's F6A engine has an enormous US aftermarket support base — parts are widely available. The Carry also typically offers a slightly more comfortable cab on longer drives and is often found at a lower entry price point.

Our Verdict

For most buyers, you can't go wrong with either. The Acty edges out for overall reliability reputation and variant selection; the Carry wins on aftermarket parts availability and bang-for-buck 4WD performance. If in doubt, go with whichever has lower mileage and cleaner condition at the time of your search.
